One day workshop organized on Live Pasta and Kebabs at GGNIMT.

Ludhiana, July 20 : GGNIMT Department of Hotel Management organized One day workshop on Live Pasta and Kebabs for the students from 17 schools in the city. Chef Mahesh Khadwal from Department of Hotel Management conducted the workshop and demonstrated live pasta preparation to the students. Chef discussed a lot of cooking tips with the audience. The parents and students who participated were delighted to attend the workshop and learned hand in hand along with the chef.
In the workshop different types of pastas such as penne, fusilli, spiral, bow pasta, other ingredients used were bell peppers, oregano, cheese, red sauce, paprika, thyme, milk and cloves. A wide variety of kebabs such as hara bhara kebab, dahi kebab, seekh kebab, etc were taught to the students during the live session.Chef made use of potatoes, peas, spinach, curd, mint, carrots, beans, cauliflowers and some spices to prepare the sumptous kababs.
More than 100 students participated in the workshop. One of the participants Simran shared her experience and said the session was very interesting and she learnt a lot of insights about Indian and Italian cuisine. Vanshika, another student said that this was her first experience and that she was overwhelmed with the way the session was conducted.
Prof Shantimani Sathwara, HOD, Department of Hotel Management emphasized on the need for hands on practical skill for preparing perfect dishes. She congratulated the department faculty for putting in great effort for the success of the workshop.
Dr Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, motivated the students and said the hospitality industry is booming and the students have a bright career ahead in the hospitality sector.
Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, appreciated the initiative of the department and encouraged them for more such innovative workshops.
