State Level Essay Writing & Poster Making Competition On World Mental Health Day .
Ludhiana, Oct 11(Kunal Jaitly) - Dr Rajiv Gupta , President Indian association of private psychiatry , Punjab and Chandigarh branch informed that the Punjab and Chandigarh branch of the Indian Association of Private Psychiatry organized a state level Essay Writing & Poster Making Competition on the occasion world mental health day on October 10 2020.
Dr. Parmod Kumar from Chandigarh, Hon. Secretary General , IAPP was the chief guest of the event. He spoke that increasing awareness of mental health issues in youngsters is need of the hour and many more such events should be organised in future.
Dr Sandeep Kumar Goyal, Hon. Secretary General , IAPP Punjab and Chandigarh branch informed that the topic for the competition was “What Mental Health means to me” and Many students and teachers from various schools of the Punjab participated in the event.
It is expected that the need for mental health services will substantially increase in the coming months and investment in mental health programmes is now more important than it has ever been.
Dr Gulbahar Sidhu, Hon Treasurer of IAPP Punjab and Chandigarh branch informed that the posters and essays were evaluated by a jury consisting of mental health experts and subject experts. Best 3 entries in each category were awarded with a certificate and a prize.
Program was attended by Dr. Purav Midha (Assistant Secretary General Punjab and Chandigarh branch), Dr. S.K. Verma, Dr. Arjun Arya, Dr. J.S Sandhu, Dr. Sumesh Khanna Dr. Anshul Mahajan and Dr Deepali Gul.
Program ended by vote of thanks by Dr Manjit Saini, Vice president of IAPP, Punjab and Chandigarh Branch.
