Ludhiana (Verma) -A dengue awarness camp was organized by the Health Department in Baba Farid College of Pharmacy, Ludhiana. Dr. Ramnish Singh AMO and Dr. Baldev Singh , Health Inspector Ludhiana were the eminent speakers on the occasion. Faculty members and students were made aware that dengue  spreads by female Anopheles mosquitoes and they should keep their surroundings clean to check breeding of mosquitoes. Students were also advised to clean their coolers once a week and also check water stagnation near the flower pots. The initial symptoms  discussed were, high fever, severe pain in bones and joints and full body weakness. Doctor advised students to use full sleeve cloths and application of mosquito repellant at night to prevent bite from infected species. College Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Kaura, Senior Nodal Officer Dr. Rishi Kaura and entire faculty members presented a token of gratitude to the health department team.
