Story Telling Competition at GNIPS.

Ludhiana , August 10 : An Inter House Story Telling Competition was held in Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town for classes VI to VIII. This competition was organized to enhance speaking skills in the students. Participants spoke enthusiastically on the topics like ‘Honesty pays in the long run’, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’, ‘A Blessing in Disguise’, ‘A stitch in time saves nine’. Participants gained a lot of confidence while expressing themselves. Activities like story telling provide children with a window to new world and imagination.

 Keeping in view our tradition of love & care, students prepared rakhis at school and then those rakhis were sent to Red Cross Society and Income Tax Department. Students also took eatables like apples, biscuits etc. to the Red Cross Society. Students themselves distributed eatables to the orphans at the Red Cross Society.

 Career Awareness Programme was organized by Wonderskool for students of classes X & XII. The workshop for class XII was based on stream specific career options and for class X students, it was based on Career Aptitude mapping. Mr. Saurab of Wonderskool explained various career choices to students ranging from medicine to mass communication, engineering to event management, marine biology to information technology. This programme helped students to analyze themselves, their hidden qualities, abilities and potential.
