Quarterly Literary Magazine 'Parvaas' Released.

Ludhiana, August 22 :
Parvasi Sahit Adhyan Kendar of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised an event to release a quarterly magazine ‘Parvas’. Mr Sukhi Bath, founder, Punjab Bhawan, Surrey (Canada) and Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill, former President of Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana raced this proud and memorable event with their august presence. Dr Arvinder Singh, college Principal, after extending a warm welcome to all present shared the achievements of Parvasi Sahit Adhyan Kendar beginning from it’s inception to date. He told that seven books on Parvasi Punjabi Sahit have been published along with the restoration of quarterly magazine ‘Parvas’. Dr S.P. Singh (former Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) honourary General Secretary Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council throwing light on the foundation of first Punjabi magazine ‘Parvas’ based on Parvasi Punjabi Sahit was initiated and released by him. After publishing it for a decade he had to stop working on it due to his personal commitments and obligations. He expressed his happiness by saying that he was elated to know about the magazine's restoration which would provide a great platform to the Parvasi Punjabi writers. Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill while sharing his views said that the re-establishment of this magazine has brought and will keep on bringing Parvasi Punjabi writers from all over the globe. He appreciated the efforts of Dr S.P. Singh and Parvasi Sahit Adhyan Kendar of the college for this. Mr Sukhi Bath discussed the literary events organised by the appreciable co-ordination of both the institutions which have taken place in the past and will be organised in the future. He further applauded and congratulated Parvasi Sahit Adhyan and the college for a successful organisation of a two-day International Conference that had taken place from 21st to 22nd Feb, 2019. He organised a lunch party to express his gratitude towards the dedicated team of the institution. The current edition of Parvas magazine was released afterwards.
Dr Munish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Punjabi, conducted the stage gracefully. Worthy member of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council S. Bhagwant Singh, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, Prof. Manjit Singh, Director, GGNIMT/GGNIVS, staff members of Punjabi Department Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Head, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Prof. Sharanjit Kaur, Prof. Harpreet Singh Dua, Dr. Tajinder Kaur and students and faculty members of all the departments witnessed this landmark event.
