One day free check-up and consultation camp for psychiatric disorders was organized today.Dr. Akshit Mahajan, Consultant Psychiatrist along with his team  evaluated over 60 patients in this camp at Guru Nanak pura Mori Gate Jagraon.

Consultancy on various psychiatric issues like depression, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, sexual disorders, migraine and epilepsy was given to patients.

Dr. Mahajan also provided psycho-education and counselling to patients and their caregivers. While addressing the group session, he highlighted the role of stress and faulty life style for majority of our psychological issues. He gave some useful tips for stress management like regular exercise, healthy diet, proper sleep, yoga, meditation, reduced use of mobile phone and internet, keeping healthy interpersonal and social relationship and absenteeism from drugs and alcohol use.  All the members , patients and attendants  appreciated the efforts of Dr. Akshit and proposed vote of thanks for this noble cause of social welfare.
